Fans out of control
|
A Leicester fan ran on to the pitch and started throwing punches at Forest players as they celebrated scoring.
What the fuck is wrong with people. Hope they throw the book at the idiot.

Gary Lineker requested a lifetime ban for the fan, Leicester oblieged......
Stupid cunt, but do think in these circumstances a lifetime ban is harsh, not like he murdrered anyone, 5 years and a chance to show he is changed person would be better, sure the courts will give him a fine and community service etc

Give him 5 years, if you go to football every weekend and live for it, 5 years will feel like a lifetime, giving people no hope as even the justice system talks about just creates a more angry and antisocial individual, give him a bit of hope and 5 years, he has light at the end of the tunnel, change his ways he can go back to watching football, society and the courts are all to quick to say this when its someone with mental health issues etc but not an idiot of a football fan, and odds on there is some mental health issues going on with him, that wasn’t normal behaviour.
Knee jerk and hypocritical reaction banning him for lfe IMO

Getting a few incidents like this of late, but I suspect it is more a society issue than a football one. As for how long his ban is, does anyone really give a fuck?

Have we been blamed yet? The media will be looking to pin something on us for having the audacity to sign Tevez & Mascerino before they got a sniff of what was happening.

How's a ban going to stop this twat going to games?
I know facial recognition systems are pretty good, but scanning 20/40/60,000 fans in about 30 minutes as they enter a ground and reverencing a central database of banned fans will be a challenge (especially if there are similar systems at (92) other grounds doing the same thing at the same time.
Even if they are pretty cheap (PL club budget-wise), if some chairman baulk at paying for a coach trip that at least had a possibility of generating further income, no way they'll fork out for something that 100% loses them income.
He'll be back watching games on his own terms.

Similar incident in the Rotherham game this weekend. Suspect the Leicester knob will get banged up for his exploits, especially if he has previous of any kind.

Dont banned people have to report to their local police station when games are on? Personally i would sentence him to have a Forest badge tattooed on his forehead.
Thought at first one of the Forest players arriving late got a good punch on him but think he missed.

A Middlesbrough supporter has been arrested after allegedly leaving his 11-year-old son at a hotel while celebrating his side's FA Cup victory.

What should he be banned from?

A ban can only be given through the courts for a criminal conviction or a civil case.
You can be banned 3-5 years if you do not receive a custodial sentence (including a suspended sentence)
You can be banned 6-10 years if you go to prison.
You hand in your passport for a time period when England play abroad including the duration of tournaments.
With your club you are given a exclusion zone of a 2-5 mile radius from the ground for 4 hours before and 4 hours after the game.
If playing in London you can’t go in the London borough of the home team.
There is no such thing as a lifetime ban. A club can “impose” one but it means absolutely nothing other than you can’t buy a ticket under that client reference number for instance.

I'm surprised it's taken this long, not condoning the supporter but maybe the players should take a look at how they goad the opposition fans after they've scored

Boo hoo the players were goading me.
Behave. Players get stick every week, it’s good to see them giving some back.

goose if the players accept the consequences of their actions, just as the supporters have to, then fair enough.

Not really about "boo hoo". Leicester/Forest is a derby, not surprised someone took it up a level
Not saying i agree or disagree, just surprised it doesn't happen more.
Works both ways (see also Cantona)

Cantona aside I don’t remember too many players jumping in the stands to have a go. There’s numerous examples of idiots running on the pitch to have a go, or throwing stuff at players.
Nothing wrong with a few verbal exchanges, but running on the pitch to get physical is just moronic.
